CASE STUDY / Strabor

From the first enquiry to an agreed job.

Strabor’s website also serves as a customer workspace. Visitors explore the services, estimate a job’s cost and request an appointment from their account. The job description, photos and subsequent messages stay attached to the same enquiry.

01 / CONTEXT

The business challenge

Requests arriving by phone and messages need to form a complete picture: the work required, its photos, the requested date and what has been agreed. At the same time, the service provider needs direct control over pricing and availability.

THE DESIGN DECISION

Each booking is also a workspace for the job: its appointment, description and conversation belong to the same request.

WORKFLOW / Strabor

How the user journey comes together.

  1. 01 / DISCOVERY

    Define the job

Services, real project photographs and an itemised estimate inform the enquiry.

  2. 02 / REQUEST

    Keep details and photos together

The customer submits the job and preferred appointment from their account.

  3. 03 / COORDINATION

    Confirm and coordinate

The provider confirms the appointment, and further details stay in its conversation.

02 / IMPLEMENTATION

How we approached it

The bilingual website connects an itemised estimator, customer accounts and an appointment-request workflow. Availability is checked before the provider confirms the request; details are agreed in the booking’s own conversation. Appointments, prices and portfolio photographs can be managed in administration. The installable interface is supported by push notifications on compatible, subscribed staff devices.

Innovation in practice

The decisions behind the functionality

  • Keep the job and the conversation together

Appointment requests can include a description and photo; subsequent messages remain attached to the same booking.

  • Control capacity and pricing directly

The provider can block time slots, confirm bookings, update calculator prices and manage the photo gallery.

  • Make the website a daily work tool

An installable interface is complemented by web push alerts for new enquiries or messages on subscribed administrator devices.

Behind the interface

Technologies and architecture

The public site, account area and admin share one Next.js application. Better Auth handles sign-in, while Prisma and SQLite hold persistent data. Each booking has its own conversation; a new request or message can notify subscribed administrator devices through web push.

Next.js + React

A bilingual website, customer accounts and administration in one application.

Node.js + TypeScript

Server-side endpoints for bookings, messaging and content management.

SQLite + Prisma

Storage for users, bookings, messages and editable application data.

Better Auth

Customer sign-in and session management.

PWA + Web Push

An installable interface and notifications for subscribed administrator devices.

DELIVERY / PROJECT SCOPE

What we built

  • Hungarian and English website with real project photographs and a gallery
  • Interactive itemised price-estimate calculator
  • Customer accounts with appointment requests, job descriptions and photo uploads
  • Customer–provider messaging linked to each booking
  • Administration for bookings, enquiries, prices and gallery content
  • Installable web application and administrator web push notifications

Our role

Brand and bilingual website implementation, a calculator, sign-in, customer accounts and booking-specific conversations. Provider tools cover appointments, enquiries, pricing and gallery management, with an installable interface and administrator notifications.

Project status

The Strabor public website and customer application are available. Appointment requests become final after the provider confirms them. Push notifications require a subscription on a supported device.
